Weekly Sector Update – IYW ($)

Hopefully, everyone has recovered and has had a fabulous holiday! Best wishes to everyone during this entire holiday season!

IYW is iShares U.S. Tech ETF. It is the highest rated sector that is not in Felix’s penalty box. Last week’s GDX is rated number three this week. The model shows an interesting conflict. It is higher as far as ratings and strength, but there are more positions in the penalty box. Something is going to snap. Keep in mind the ratings this week are from Tuesday of this week.

Investor Take

IYW has a P/E ratio of 22.05 and a yield of 1.11%. It has a high P/E ratio and no wonder. Take a look at the heavy hitters in the top ten. If you love the tech sector you should take a second glance at IYW.

There is a dramatic difference in the choices on this list.  Some of the names have a rather low P/E, while others are the up-and-coming story stocks.  If you cannot figure out which to buy, this investment combines some of each.

IYW has great looking chart uptick all the way to the bank.

Model Output

Felix seems to be on the cusp of breaking. Both of the strengths have increased and so has the number of ETFs in the penalty box. The tension in the air has thickened like yesterday’s gravy left overnight on the sideboard… bated breath on our end.
